We are not far away from the festive season and over the last few weeks I came across loads of fabulous styles I want to share with you.
During this time everything is allowed – as long as it sweeps you off of your feet. From sequins over feathers to lace: do as you like.
First of all my personal favorites: this year I’d like to shoot for the moon with a classy, elegant Christmas gown and a glittery and glamorous dress for NYE.
While collecting ideas, Tadashi Shoji Online Shop came to mind. He is THE designer when it comes to red carpet plus size gowns for the Oscars, so clearly I had to get one of his beautiful dresses for this years’ Christmas. I was looking for a very laid back and at the same time sophisticated dress – and found it in the Pintuck Jersey Gown with lace in black. I like the hinted short dress and the lace breaks which makes it also wearable for smaller girls.
My friends and I decided to meet the new year in style. We are going to rent a beautiful penthouse in St. Gallen, Switzerland where we’ll be having a lovely dinner and much more winterly fun – which I’ll post about later. Now back to ‘the night’:
As my dear friend completely freaked out over the Balmain x H&M-Collection she showed me a stunning green sequined dress which she’s probably going to wear on NYE – there I knew I had to confront myself with the glitz.
Usually I’m not into glittery garments at all but I’m going to take this occasion to do something totally new and different.
As I fearlessly and completely dazzled dipped into the world of sequin dresses, glittery jumpsuits and shiny jackets, I found myself surprisingly fond of loads of outfits. Finally, I picked a dress that’s totally against all of my inner anti-glitter rules ;). The embellished dress by Joanna Hope has a little ‘Balmain‘-touch that convinced me. I love how flattering the big rhinestones are.
The glitz for this NYE, I won’t only be glamorous but also brave, which is the best premise to start a new year.
